Our mission is to offer to the community, arts activities and Humanities that are not readily available and to encourage enjoyment, involvement and affordable training for all.
Fishers Arts.com has been running community courses successfully since 2004 at St. John Fisher Catholic High School Hookstone Drive Harrogate.
Fishers Arts emerged as part of the schools arts status initiative with a focus on creating a diverse catalogue of arts and humanities opportunity for all. Our classes, over the years, have offered such classes as Street Dance, Adult Tap, Adult Ballet, Salsa, Fisher Singers (our community choir), African Drumming, Pilates and Yoga. Latin Language, Capoeria and contemporary dance. Our classes serve all ages and abilities. We endeavour to set up any popular course regardless of its diversity, extending the school day right up to late evening, 4 days a week.
Fisher’s Arts is keen to develop an arts based teaching pool, encouraging local teachers/facilitators to have a venue to deliver specialist classes under the banner of the Centre.
We require a minimum of learners to commit for the duration of the course for a course to run. The fees are paid in advance allowing the course to continue regardless of class attendance.
Our courses run from September to Easter although we have continued some courses through the summer term due to high demand.
Fishersarts offer Adult and Community based education learning courses. All courses are run at St John Fisher Catholic High School on the large school campus and using school facilities for the benefit of the community.
